  41.                  AND ADVANCED MICRO DEVICES ANNOUNCE
  42.                     TECHNOLOGY LICENSE AGREEMENT
  43.  
  44. Advanced Gravis Computer Technology Ltd. ("Gravis") and Advanced Micro
  45. Devices, Inc. ("AMD") have announced the signing of a license and
  46. development agreement enabling the two companies to share technology
  47. for PC-based multimedia and entertainment applications.
  48.  
  49. Under the ten-year agreement, Gravis' existing and new audio
  50. technologies will be exclusively licensed to AMD, subject to payment
  51. of minimum royalties.  AMD will have the right to design, manufacture
  52. and market integrated circuits that combine Gravis'  UltraSound(TM)
  53. audio technology with AMD core technologies.  AMD will cross license
  54. certain technologies to Gravis for integration in new audio products.
  55. The agreement is subject to regulatory approvals.
  56.  
  57. "We are very excited to seize an opportunity that takes our technology
  58. to a new level, and to have a partner such as AMD," said Grant Russell,
  59. President of Advanced Gravis.  "This relationship reconfirms the choice
  60. made by software developers who committed to Gravis early on."

  63. additions to existing AMD expertise in computation and communications,"
  64. said Gary Ashcraft, Vice-President of AMD's Communication Products
  65. Division.

  68. entertainment devices for personal computers, including joysticks,
  69. UltraSound(TM) audio cards, PC GamePadTM and MouseStickTM input devices.

  81.  This is an update to V3.8 of SBOS (GUS0037) which was released
  82.  in January. It includes the following new features and fixes.
  83.  
  84.    - SBOS is now a COM file instead of an EXE saving a little space
  85.    - An updated SBOS.BAT file is included which will properly load
  86.      the .COM file before the .EXE version of SBOS
  87.    - Automatically loads into high memory if available
  88.    - Restoring of Vector table fixed when unloading SBOS
  89.    - No longer hooks the keyboard interupt
  90.    - Updated online help. Type SBOS /?

  92. Update to GUS0038 (GUS0040.ZIP/GUS0041.ZIP)
  93. -----------------
  94. You may have noticed that precussion through PLAYMIDI, ULTRAMID and
  95. MIDIFIER sounded a little flat. These programs have been updated to
  96. correct this problem.
  97.  
  98. ULTRINIT had some problems properly initializing a 2.4 UltraSound
  99. card.
  100.  
  101. PLAYFILE had some difficulty with stero WAV files. It also did not
  102. properly restore the vector table. Hence many programs would not
  103. run correctly after this program was ran.
  104.  
  105. GUS0040 includes only the above files and is intended for those
  106. of you who already have GUS0038 and just want the updated files.
  107. GUS0041 is a complete re-release of GUS0038 include these new
  108. updated files.
  109.  
  110. Gravis AIL/32 V1.4 (GAIL3214.ZIP)
  111. ------------------
  112. We released this update a week ago. It includes a fix for the
  113. same plastic precussion problem PLAYMIDI had. It also fixes a
  114. divide by zero error which occured with some games.

  325.  All nodes are independent BBSs', and are not run or sponsored by Gravis.  As
  326.  such the logon procedures for each BBS may vary.  For instance, some give
  327.  you immediate access, while others have a probation period which may last
  328.  several days.  All nodes are encouraged to offer all the Gravis files and
  329.  messages to first time callers but this may not always be the case.

  332.  request or download GRAV-APP.ZIP from the Gravis BBS.
